In June, there was a grand opening of the infectious disease building, erected as part of the second phase of construction of a large medical cluster in Kommunarka settlement, in New Moscow.
The event was attended by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. Cabinet members noted high importance of the large-scale development of the competence center, implemented on the basis of Kommunarka, got acquainted with the plan for further construction.
The infectious direction of the hospital is of particular importance in the current difficult epidemiological situation. The infectious diseases hospital has a number of organizational and structural differences from other hospitals. Its structure and mode of operation are aimed at complete isolation of patients as a source of infection, preventing the spread of nosocomial infections and treating patients. For these purposes there are many premises that take into account all the requirements of epidemiological safety - there are sanitary checkpoints and locks, separate elevators and corridors for personnel, medical equipment for supplying oxygen, etc. An express laboratory equipped with 40 Meltzer boxes will operate around the clock. Each ward of the building is equipped with multifunctional beds with an electric drive, buttons for calling medical personnel, TVs, shower and toilet facilities, wards and boxes for children are equipped with multimedia tablets.
