On March 6, the opening of the new building of School No. 480 named after Viktor Talalikhin was opened on Srednaya Kalitnikovskaya street was held. The old building was demolished in 2007, and a modern four-story school with a large glass dome for 550 seats with a total area of almost 10 thousand square meters was erected in its place. The new school has 22 classrooms, a large assembly hall for 330 people, two gyms: for the lower grades and for the seniors, its own canteen for 185 seats. The school also houses the Victor Talalikhin Museum and three more unique school museums - the UNESCO Museum, the Museum of Archeology, the Museum “Pages of School History”. The opening ceremony was attended by the prefect of the Central Administrative District, Alexei Olegovich Alexandrov, who noted that this is not an ordinary school, and, perhaps, today it is the best one in the Central District of Moscow! During the grand opening, Andrey Alekseevich Belov, First Deputy General Director of MonArch Concern OJSC, presented the principal of the school with a symbolic key.
