On March 21, the Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, together with Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, opened a new operational control center at 38A Petrovka street, built by Monarch Group of Companies behind the main building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “The new operational management complex is the most advanced institution in Moscow, even in the central office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs there is no analogues to it yet”, Sergei Sobyanin said. A modern building with an area of 14.2 thousand square meters forms a single architectural ensemble with historical buildings on Petrovka street. The construction of the modern center took less than two years - from June 2016 to February 2018. It is designed to arrange continuous control over forces and assets in the event of emergency situations, during the events on ensuring the protection of law and order during major social, political, mass and sports events in the city, as well as events with the participation of foreign delegations during World Cup 2018 in Moscow.
