The first building of the innovative medical cluster will be built in Skolkovo by the end of 2017 The Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin visited the construction site and placed a capsule in the foundation of the future building. The medical cluster will become an important and large-scale project for Moscow and will bring together all the best world practices. In total, it is planned to place up to 15 clinics specializing in oncology, cardiology, traumatology, orthopedics and neurology on the territory of almost 60 hectares. The first project, which is being actively built today, will house outpatient offices and a day hospital, a training center, a conference room and offices. The head of the city emphasized that last year the State Duma adopted a federal law that allows placing not only domestic, but also foreign clinics on the territory of the cluster, so doctors with foreign diplomas will be able to work there. They will also be provided with the opportunity to use methods and pharmacological preparations that are not licensed in Russia, which will make it possible to transport the latest technologies to Moscow, exchange experiences, and train Russian doctors and students.
